Certification Exam Overview
  • Format: 50 multiple-choice and scenario-based questions
  • Passing Score: 80%
  • Time Limit: 90 minutes
  • Delivery: Secure online platform
  • Retake Policy:
    • Up to 2 retakes within 90 days
    • Third attempt requires supplemental training and documentation

Recertification Requirements

Every two years, certified professionals must:

  • Complete 24 hours of continuing education (CEUs) (related to CoPs, HIPAA, QAPI, billing compliance, etc.)
  • OR attend the annual CQC Educational Conference
  • Pass a 25-question open-book renewal exam (minimum 85% passing score)
  • Submit a signed attestation confirming active employment in a relevant role
